Giving to Holy Rosary School
Why Give?
Holy Rosary School depends on your generosity and that of our entire Holy Rosary family to provide the funds needed to support each student on their journey to becoming faith-filled, educated and productive members of our community. The cost to educate one student at Holy Rosary School during the 2013-2014 school year is approximately $7,600 (actual number varies based on enrollment). In order to make the educational opportunity affordable, annual tuition is set for parish families with one student at $5,256. That leaves an operating gap of approximately $2,400 per student. The gap further widens when you take into consideration multiple sibling discounts.
The funds and programs below provide families with financial support, as needed, to afford their children a Catholic education that might otherwise not be possible.
Ways to Give
Donations to the following programs can be made at any time and are tax deductible, as allowable by law, for the calendar year in which given. No donation to any of these funds is too small and each donation is greatly appreciated.
Fund | Description |
---|---|
Centennial Campaign | The 2013-2014 academic year marks the centennial for Holy Rosary School. This is an exceptionally exciting time for any institution. It is a time to celebrate, to honor the past, and to plan for and embrace the future. The Centennial Campaign will generate the necessary funds to install a new roof and windows, build a new play structure, provide in-service funding for the school staff, and substantially increase the size of our endowment. |
Holy Rosary School Annual Fund | The Annual fund supports general operating expenses, including compensating our faculty and staff at a just and equitable salary, facilities, financial aid, and continuously improving the learning opportunities for our students. All Holy Rosary School parents are expected to contribute to the school through this fund. |

Funds are used for the continuous support of Holy Rosary School’s operating budget, primarily to keep tuition affordable for all families. The principal balance of the Endowment Fund is invested and remains intact, with a percentage of the earnings returned to the school to support our financial aid program. This allows for your donation to have a much greater impact over a long period of time than if it were spent all at once. |
Stewardship | Contributions to the parish are made through an annual stewardship (a.k.a. Sacrificial Giving or tithing) commitment. Just as the parish supports the school, it is important for all school families to support the parish through stewardship. Stewardship serves the ongoing needs of the parish operating budget, which supports the school with an annual subsidy. Please visit the parish web site to access an online form for pledges. |

There are many other companies who do this, so ask your company if they offer a matching program. Thank you to all of our school families that request matching funds from their place of work.
Please check with your company to see if they provide such a match. Questions regarding matching funds can be directed to the Development Director.
